FELLOE - These two pieces combine to make a felloe. It is a rectangular prism shape that is curved. The felloes are in two half circles and currently attached with nails to a wooden base platform. When the two pieces are removed from the wooden platform and placed together, back to back, they would form the circular structure of a wheel. Spokes would attach to its center and a tire would be attached to its exterior edge. The bottom surface has what appears to be painted black stencil writing that reads, "2I x 2XX", "R. E. Tipling", "Shelburne". |
